Formulate get to know Fixed Income

As our financial client base continues to expand and increasingly exciting opportunities have begun to present themselves, Formulate decided to undertake some serious industry research, by attending a Fixed Income course at Tower 42, London.

It is integral to any project we do that we have a genuine and thorough knowledge of the brand, industry and audience we are working with. Without this, any usability consultants, designers or marketers struggle to prioritise content and pitch marketing appropriately to appeal to your target audience, and this is something we’ve all seen a lot of in other agencies. Spending the time to understand the industries we work with and target is something we feel very strongly about.

Having already worked closely with numerous financial clients, building websites, mobile apps and platforms, everyone at Formulate has a good understanding of financial markets and the feel and requirements of the industry. However, as our financial client base continues to expand and increasingly exciting opportunities have begun to present themselves, Formulate decided to undertake some serious industry research, by attending a Fixed Income course at Tower 42, London.

A one-day course offered by Tullett Prebon Learning, Formulate were given the chance to be the first to attend this particular training day. These courses will soon be available to Individuals working in developed or emerging markets, including those looking to enter the market or further their personal development, and are quite literally the latest in courses of their kind. All the information was therefore relevant to the current economic environment, and so this presented an exceptionally exciting opportunity for our team.

Throughout the day, some of the world’s most successful brokers and traders shared their knowledge of investment banking, from yield curves and spreads to quantitive easing, as well as providing a thorough and comprehensive overview of how the global markets function. In a world where the newest trends and buzzwords are constantly evolving, it was particularly crucial for us to cover what is happening right now in order to successfully translate this knowledge to our clients’ customers.

Although, almost as important was the opportunity to gain an insight into what a trader or broker is looking for in the latest platform, user interface or mobile application. Being able to ask these questions gave all of our experts the chance to understand exactly how to pitch financial web-based tools and materials in the current economic climate.

The next stage is translating everything we now know about the latest in the financial industries into the new and exciting ventures we have lined up, to ensure we continue to deliver effective, cutting-edge websites and applications for our clients, from branding and design through to development and marketing.
